Chapter 10 starts when they are wondering why the house is moving such as the other houses. They were scared and worried, but then David saw other lights flickering, so he waved his flashlight, but it was dim. The house was moving when Suzie woke up and they were in trouble! Elizabeth had an idea. She said that they can go to the trees that aren't broken, so they did.
In chapter 11 Lizzie goes to the tree first because she can catch David and Suzie. When she went into the water was freezing! When she got there she stayed at the bottom. As they all got there Suzie went to the top, David and Lizzie take shifts every 5 mins. Later that time they saw a boat, but it didn't see them, but the boat came back and saw them! When they got on shore they were relieved, then they wanted to use the phone, so they got into the police car and David said "We were safe as houses"
The challenges were always the same because there is only one huge problem.
The villian is still the same.
This is the end of the book, so there is no climax.

Chapter 8 and 9 of 'Safe As Houses'
In chapter 8 it begins when they are stuck on the roof while the city is flooding. The water is rising and they have to get higher. Lizzie went up to the highest point, but then she saw three figures on the house next to them. When she went back down she told Suzie and David to get to the top. When they got to the top, Elizabeth had to bring Daisy up. David used a belt to use it as a leash for Daisy. While bringing her up to the top, the belt broke and Daisy fell into the water!!

The family next door is the Van Dyke family, they have 5 members in the family, but there's only 3.
The new challenges they have to face is to survive this chaos and the cold or they might die. In my opinion these chapters are in between the climax because hte excitement started when the house was flooding. There is a villain and it is the storm because the storm is flooding the city.
My prediction in chapter 11 is that the water reaches to them and now they have to swim and find shelter.

Spirit day !!!!
On November 28, 2009 it was a special day for the grade seven because of SPIRIT DAY!! At Spirit Day they celebrated before we have Confirmation. There are the things that are my favourite. "Canada So You Think You Got Talent Crew Idol", we also had these juggling performance and this great artist of music that relates to God.
In "so you think you got talent" it was about competition there was a poet, a guitar person, cheerleaders, rap dudes and these people who believe in God. Then, one of the judges he is a jerk and said to them "To win you have to get the immunity idol." When he put on the ground they started fighting over the immunity. Then, one of the followers of Christ told them to stop while her partner, Joseph was quietly sneaking to get it. She asked him what he was doing and he had a temptation of the trophy. Then he said something really bad to her so she left, and then they kicked off the one who started the immunity idol and let the janitor be the third judge because she knows what she's doing. At the end of the show the winner of the show is Matt Mar!
After that show these two people named Brad and Gene. They are the APEX team they entertain us by juggling; they also have funny jokes like Brad told Gene to put the chair on fire and I laughed so hard! Brad told a story about her sister, Britney. It had really touched my heart. They told a story about a boy who became a famous juggler long time ago and his name was Giovanni. In the story he was poor, but them he joined the circus and he had a yellow ball called the golden sun. One time he dropped the golden sun and everyone started "booing" him, so he stopped juggling. One time he was juggling for a kid, but then he had a heart attack and the kid was holding the golden sun and smiling. They do this for there family because Brad has four children and we can donate money to them by buying t- shirts.
At the beggining of the show and the end this great artist Matt Mar that sang songs that related to Jesus; it also felt like a concert. I sang every song he sang and he did the music i nthe mass and also this boy was singing in the mass and that was pretty cool!
I haved enjoyed that time and i hope next year for the grade sixes they will have a blast!

The Two Cultures, Apple and Orange
There are two new cultures that have similarities and differences. The two cultures are Orange and Apple.
Orange and Apple have similarities like their culture has a fruit name, they use one word sentence to say what they mean. Whoop! is a word that means they don't know how to describe the thing you are talking about. They have a game that includes cards in each tribe (or culture).
Cultures have similarities and differences like Orange and Apple. Oranges speak with one word, but they say the opposite meaning of what they meant and the other group uses colors to express what they meant, like firetruck, it is red so they are angry or sad, if it is black they're confused like midnight, if it's yellow, like buttercup it means they're happy. They have different type of game like Apple rolls the dice and if you get an even number you win and say Whoop!(and get a pink card) Women are the people to invite men in their game and they tap each other shoulder, but men can't tap the women's shoulder first. On the other hand, Orange play a card game related to war. In that game you put a card down and if it's red, then you get a point and if you get two red cards in a row the winner takes all the cards you put down. Men play with men and women, but women can't ask men or women to play the game. Orange are serious when it comes to winning and Apple doesn't care if they win or lose.
What I have learned about each group that they don't have the same rules and that makes them different. I learned on the Apple's culture is that they are usually cheerful and not a poor sport when it comes to winning. In my culture, Orange they are serious and care about winning then just having fun. I also learned that other cultures can interact with each other and laern new things from the other tribe.

the arifact i found
today I found an artifact in Egypt. The artifact was the grail of the cheese monkeys. Cheese monkeys lived here way before pharaohs and Egyptian people lived in the hot desert. The grail is 1,000,000,000 years old and it was used by the great king of cheese monkeys called Alphonso. The followers of him called him "Alpha" which means top or ruler. the species died because they melted on the most hottest day and they had no more water to drink. There is a curse that if you drink from the cup on October 21st while holding a monkeys hand that is named Alphonso you will turn into the great king of cheese monkeys. The grail looks like a wine cup and it is made from palm trees near the only oasis in the desert. They use it for drinking and a candle holder for the king to meditate to the great god of the world. Alphonso died of a diesease because of skin cancer and really thirsty. The species would worship and give anything to the king and the citizens became poor so they traveled far to find stuff like water, food and equipment.

kristina's life in grade seven so far.... =3
Hi my name is Kristina, I am in grade seven. Grade seven is very fun so far. in grade seven we have student councils, volleyball, basketball, soccer, and so much more. We have not got so much homework, we also have not got any new students (that sucks...-_-) and we got an awesome teacher this year. I like all my friends at school and I will tell you some of them. Julimei is really generous and Jessica is smart (also Julimei as well), karissa is so fun and Clarissa is my best friend and we share things together. There are so many friends i can tell you all of them but that is too much. We have not done any field trips (oh well....)
